Would you like to know how you can attend the 2013 FLOAT Convention for HALF PRICE? All you have to do is qualify for our drawing for the official "FLOATila", our special team of volunteers who help make FLOAT run smoothly!
Here's how to qualify for the 2013 FLOATila staff:
1. Register for the 2013 FLOAT Convention on or before February 29, 2013. You may take part in the "FLOAT Now, Pay Later" program and still be eligible.
2. You must be willing and able to perform the following tasks during the 2013 FLOAT Convention:
A. Assist with Opening Night construction (minimum 6 hours required)
B. Assist with Designer Awards Gala tear down (approximately 2 hours)
C. Assist at the FLOAT Registration Desk during scheduled time (1 hour each person)
3. You must be a previous attendee at either a FLOAT Convention or Diet FLOAT seminar in order to be eligible. These positions are only given out to those individuals who have supported FLOAT in the past.
A few things you need to keep in mind about the FLOATila:
1. By signing up to be on the FLOATila, you understand that you are expected to be available for work no later than 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 27, and may be required (based on the registration desk schedule) to work as late as 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 30th.
2. Even though you may use the "FLOAT Now, Pay Later" program to register for FLOAT, if you are chosen to be on the FLOATila, you will need to have your complete registration fee paid no later than April 30, 2013. Failure to do so may result in your being removed from the FLOATila.
3. Not all positions within the FLOATila are chosen at random. A few select individuals are hand-chosen from those eligible by the FLOAT Management Team to serve as leaders, based on past experience.
4. All decisions on the FLOATila are made by the FLOAT Management Team and are final.
