Carl has been a full-time entertainer since 2002. He is the co-owner of Joy Set Entertainment, that specializes in balloon twisting and face painting, a business he shares with his wife, Paula. Carl has won numerous awards for balloon twisting and comedy writing as well as being listed in the "Who's Who of Professional Clowns."

Carl also holds the distinction of being one of only two people that has been to every single FLOAT event, including all seven conventions and the two off-shoot events, Diet FLOAT and FLOATin' 2018.
