FLOAT's Top Ten Most Memorable Moments - #6

October 29, 2014

"Are We Insured for That?"

While FLOAT's color scheme is orange and white, in 2009 it could have been red and white, the international symbol of medical assistance.

During our second convention in Cincinnati, FLOAT had four...that's right....FOUR different people rushed to the local emergency room! Issues ranged from a severe laceration inflicted during the Large Sculpture competition to a broken arm suffered on one of the Great Wolf Lodge's water slides to one delegate having a mild heart attack while at the convention!

What is unique about this is that FLOAT has never had a single E.R. visit prior to or since 2009, so having to have four in four days? Needless to say, this is one statistic we hope to keep at zero for a long time to come.
